Ashurst advises UBS on exclusive partnership with Econergy Renewable Energy and on the acquisition of a portfolio of renewable energy assets
International law firm Ashurst has advised UBS Asset Management Ltd on an exclusive partnership with Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd for the construction and management of its portfolio of solar photovoltaic and wind power plants in Italy with a total capacity of 1.1. GW. In parallel, UBS Asset Management Real Estate & Private Markets infrastructure business has acquired a portfolio of operational and under development renewable energy plants (photovoltaic and biogas) with a total capacity of approximately 18.4 MW, and has also secured an option for an additional 22 MW of operational photovoltaic solar power plants. The sellers are the investment fund FPCI Infragreen III and Econergy Systems Ltd.
