Ashurst advises lenders on Ambienta

    Global law firm Ashurst has acted for Oldenburgische Landesbank Aktiengesellschaft and Crédit Agricole Italia S.p.A., as mandated lead arrangers and lenders on the ESG-linked financing provided to private equity firm Ambienta to support their acquisition of a majority stake in Gruppo Spaggiari Parma, a software house headquartered in Parma, Italy.

    Founded in 1926, Gruppo Spaggiari Parma provides a range of software and digital solutions, traditional and multimedia contents, training and consultancy to 90% of schools in Italy.

    Ambienta is a sustainability-focused European asset manager whose main mission is to invest solely in companies driven by environmental megatrends. 

    The Ashurst team was led by Milan banking partner Mario Lisanti, supported by senior associate Francesca Cioppi, associate Davide Cipolletta and trainee Amedeo Bardelli; tax advice was provided by Milan tax partner Michele Milanese, supported by associate Federico Nobili. A London-based team led by partner Ross Ollerhead and senior associate Eilish O'Neill advised on English law banking aspects.
