Ashurst advises JPIMedia group on sale of publishing business to National World plc

Corporate partner Braeden Donnelly and senior associate Dallan Pitman led the team, working with relationship partner Karen Davies, and were assisted by associates Aaron Koh, Duncan Finnie, Alice Harrison and trainee Ellie Conroy. Tax partner Alexander Cox and associates Shayaan Zaraq Bari and Martin Voelker provided tax advice to JPIMedia in respect of the sale. 

The sale of the publishing business to National World is the final transaction in a series of disposals for JPIMedia which have realised value for its bondholders, following the disposal of the i newspaper and its print business to the Daily Mail in November 2019 and October 2020 (respectively), on which Ashurst also advised.
