The agreement strengthens the relationship between the two groups and follows the strategic partnership announced last year, where ITOCHU promoted the waste nylon collection, ECONYL® branded products sales and the development of new applications.

The business alliance with Aquafil will allow ITOCHU to engage in the nylon circular business and strengthen its contribution to SDGs in its Medium Term Management Plan "Brand New Deal 2023″.

Likewise, it will represent another step forward in Aquafil's path to further grow the ECONYL® business through the collection of nylon waste and the marketing of ECONYL® branded products.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Fabio Niccoli, supported by senior associate Andrea Di Rosa and counsel Gabriele Accardo for antitrust aspects.
