BROWSE ABOUT USAshurst advised Greenovative GmbH on the conclusion of a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft Markets GmbH. The subject of this agreement is the supply of a total of 50 GWh of green electricity from a solar plant portfolio of Greenovative GmbH from January 2024 to December 2033.
Greenovative GmbH is responsible for the development, construction and long-term operation of the solar plants located in Bavaria / Germany with a total installed capacity of approx. 50 MWp. Some of the solar plants are already in operation and the remaining solar plants will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2023. The annual amount of electricity generated in all solar plants covered by this PPA corresponds to the power consumption of around 12,700 households.
Ashurst's German renewables team regularly advises operators of renewable power plants on the marketing of green electricity via PPAs as well as larger customers on the procurement of green electricity via PPAs and the implementation of net zero strategies.
Ashurst provided advice to Greenovative GmbH with a team comprising partner Dr Maximilian Uibeleisen and senior associate Dr Simon Groneberg (both Energy & Infrastructure, Frankfurt).
We bring together lawyers of the highest calibre with the technical knowledge, industry experience and regional know-how to provide the incisive advice our clients need.
