Cory Riverside Energy is one of the UK’s leading resource management, recycling, and energy recovery companies, and owner of the UK’s largest energy-from-waste plant, based in London. It currently owns and runs the facility on the banks of the River Thames in Belvedere, East London. The plant has been operational since 2012 and has a yearly capacity of around 750,000 tonnes of residual waste. Today the business saves over 100,000 lorry movements by utilising the river to transport waste to its Energy Recovery Facility.

The core team included senior associates Gaby Jones, Akiko Morioka, and Louise Young, associates Nicky Monks, Helen Raynsford, and Shaz Ali and trainee Lewis Hammond.
Commenting, Jason Radford said:
"This deal is set to be one of the largest infrastructure acquisitions in the UK in 2018. I am delighted that we have been able to assist the consortium in pulling together such a strong proposal and helping them to transact so quickly once the opportunity presented itself. Ashurst has been involved with the Cory Riverside business for almost 15 years and we are delighted that we can continue that involvement."
