Legal Updates

Welcome to this month's Digital Asset Digest. The big news is that the EU Regulation on a DLT pilot regime for tokenised securities has been finalised (but will apply in March 2023). We have news on Project Guardian, a collaborative initiative between the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the financial industry. Separately, trilogue negotiations are continuing between European Union institutions in relation to MICA and EU Commissioner, Mairead McGuiness, has offered her views on why MICA is so important given the current turbulence in the market. We feature the UK's approach to regulating stablecoin risk.
