Now that I've completed my seats and have been assigned to Real Estate, I feel I’ve gained a broader view of how the world works. I’m much more aware of how the legal system, the economy and the political landscape all interact. These two years have opened my mind and boosted my professional confidence.

Right from the start, I felt I was a key part of major deals. People were willing to listen to me, to delegate responsibility to me, and to include me in calls and client meetings. I learned to manage my time and the pressure, and I was part of the celebrations when the deal closed.

The highlight for me, so far, has been a top-tier transaction that made headlines in Spain in 2014. It involved assigning a distressed credit profile from a Spanish bank to a fund. We were with the vendor right from the beginning and handled everything from the initial analysis and due diligence to the signing of the Securities Purchase Agreement. It was extremely complex – and the fact it was managed by a small team that I was part of made its success all the more rewarding.

There’s no doubt the work is demanding. But the positive atmosphere helps us deal with the challenges. We all know each other, everyone’s open and collaborative, and the senior lawyers and partners are helpful and constructive. This is definitely a great place to work, where high performance and open culture are perfectly balanced.
