BROWSE ABOUT USProud employers and supporters of LGBTI+ staff
We are proud employers of LGBTI+ staff. Our networks across the UK (London and Glasgow) and Australia (Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney) are collectively known as "Spectrum". Spectrum supports the firm's LGBTI+ population and works to raise awareness of issues relevant to and affecting that population and the wider LGBTI+ community. The networks actively welcome members from offices outside the UK and Australia. For further information, please feel free to contact us.
Two partner LGBTI+ champions (one in Australia, one in London) sit on our global Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group with specific responsibility for LGBTI+ issues globally.
Our global action plan sets out the key priorities and is reviewed annually.
We benchmark ourselves with the Australian Workplace Equality Index (for which we were awarded Bronze tiering on our first submission in 2016) and the Workplace Equality Index in the UK (in which we improved our ranking by over 80 places between 2013 and 2016).
As part of our commitment to further raising awareness and understanding of LGBTI+ issues outlined in our latest Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, Spectrum, the firm's LGBTI+ network, has published a short guide to LGBTI+ terminology.
While this guide aims to be informative and an everyday point of reference, it is by no means exhaustive, and fully acknowledges that there will be regional variations across the Ashurst community.
